Do You Have A Dream?

Here is my dream come true:

For over seven years I envisioned the day when I would own a concrete pumping service and come to The Okanogan to work, live and spend quality time with my soulmate and wife, Patty.

What a ride it has been!

In that vision was the day when my own pump would be set up on our property high in the mountains of Okanogan County.

This picture testifies that in America, a vision, hard work,

dedication, family and friends can combine to make dreams happen.

I thank God for guiding me every step along the way.

I live for mountain top pump jobs. This customer has all kinds of
things going on.

Does your dream involve placing concrete on a mountain top?

Call me.

150' of 10' wall pumped in 2.5 hours.

This daylight basement home was in such a beautiful location....the photo doesn't do justice to Mother Nature or the architect.

Man...I love my job!

GCP pumps footings, stem wall, floor and walls for a new KFC/Taco Bell in Omak for Vandervert Construction of Spokane.

Waaaaaay up near Crawfish Lake...we pumped a footing, wall and floor.
Moving concrete without a pumper has ending the careers of many
concrete workers early. It is no fun.
Mike Ray of Ray's Construction was all smiles as we completed the pour.
He admits my pump truck beats
some of the transfer methods he devised over the years and saves him
money.

Concrete Pumping on the Shores of Lake Osoyoos

GCP's concrete pump truck is also set up to line pump.

Working in the
Greenlake area, GCP pumps a wall under a home raised on blocks.

I carry 120' of 3" and 150' of 2.5" hose.

Yep!
That is new ho$e!

Powerlines, obstructions and the fact we are pumping a wall under this home in Greenlake make line pumping the only option. The home was raised about three feet, while the floor was lowered 5'.

Chuck and his concrete pump standby for mud on a home on Mercer Island.

The job is to pour three columns.

On the other side of the Mercer Island home, GCP pumps another column.

Of course, the hose whip takes a torturous route thru the house to gain access to the column. Nice home, eh?

Working for Emil's Concrete Construction. GCP places Emil's special exposed pea gravel mix for an elaborate stairway leading to a beautiful entrance to a home in Magnolia. Salmon Bay supplied the concrete.

GW and Ken of Emil's Concrete finish off a stairway in Woodinville. Once the concrete is placed, molasses is sprayed on the setting concrete. This kills the setting of the concrete's surface. The surface is sprayed clean leaving a popular exposed pea gravel finish. This type of work is not for the faint hearted. Concrete finishers become exceedingly sensitive on pouring day. The fact that concrete inexorably gets harder by the minute is on every one's mind. The process is as much art as experience. This job came out super. If you want a perfect job, let the pros do it!

GCP is shown here working for Super Concrete Pumping. The contractor needed some results but this job was on the top of a mountain near Carnation. The weather was poor.....but a decision was made late in the day. A last minute call to Super Concrete Pumping found his equipment too far away. Super Dave Fast Blasted Chuck. One hour later, Lil' Pumper was climbing steep grades in low low gear thru rain, mud and branches.

The pour ended as the sun set. The clean out began in the black. This home is excavated into the side of a hill and will use the thermal mass of the ground for heating and cooling. The setting was very pretty...and remote.

Set up in a residential Cul-De-Sac in Mill Creek, Washington. Gallup's Concrete Pumping is assisting Emil's Concrete Construction pouring an exposed pea gravel driveway.
Every business has a starting point. This was mine. Poured two footings in a development called Carlow Court in Marysville Washington.

It was a rain soaked soggy day but it meant the world to me. Footings and forms are bread an butter. Reached both from one spot! My wife has nicknamed my machine....and I got no choice in the matter:-) 'Lil Pumper'

This page will document my projects as they develop.  It is just a darned shame and fact of life but I have not documented my last 15 jobs or so.  They include some amazing homes on Mercer Island and Juanita.  Starting 10-24-2002, all jobs will be documented here and updated at the end of the week or when time permits..
